1. What we collect

Account details (name, email, verified phone number), project content you write, messages on the platform, payment records, and, for freelancers, profile information including an optional resume and portfolio links. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never touch our servers.

2. Resumes and freelancer evidence

A freelancer's resume is stored privately and is visible only to the freelancer and to Klyftly's verification team. It is never shown to clients. We extract skills and work history from it to fill the freelancer's profile, which the freelancer reviews and controls.

3. Outbound contact and opt-out

When a client selects a publicly listed professional, Klyftly may send one introduction email on the client's behalf, from mail.klyftly.com, after human review. Every such email carries a working opt-out; an opt-out is permanent and enforced before any send. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of suppressed addresses.

4. Messages and platform protection

Messages on the platform are stored, and may be automatically screened for signals that payment is moving off the platform. Messages are never edited, hidden, or blocked; a signal is only an advisory note reviewed by a person on our team. We do this because payments made outside Klyftly are not protected: no escrow, no dispute process, no deliverable tracking, and no record of what was paid.

5. Email preferences

Essential emails (receipts, payout confirmations, account decisions) are always sent. Everything else honors the unsubscribe link in each message.

6. Cookies and analytics

Klyftly uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

7. Where data lives and who processes it

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (database and file storage, payment processing, SMS verification, email delivery, and model providers used to coordinate work). Each receives only what its function needs.

8. Deletion

You can request deletion of your account from inside the product (Delete account) or by writing to hello@klyftly.com. A person handles every request within 30 days, confirms by email, and your address is immediately excluded from any future contact. Records we must keep (such as payment history required by law) are retained only as long as the law requires.

9. Contact

Privacy questions and requests: hello@klyftly.com.
